The open mike starts at 8:00 (with sign-up prior to that). Lynn will come on between 8:40 and 8:50 and give us 20 minutes or so of work.
LYNN MILLER has been working in Seattle Public Libraries going on 30 years. Being surrounded by all the books and people has been both a deep pleasure and gratifying work — most of the time. She still doesn’t know how such a loud person became a loud librarian. But apparently it can happen.
For about 15 years she has hosted Poetry Potluck and invites everyone who likes to read other people’s words to bring along poems they find and read them aloud around the table at Ballard Library. It is a free poetry education.
Lynn has been delighted to have a poem on the King County Metro busses last year and to have her work on the Seattle Poetic Grid. But more than that she has been happy to share poems here at Easy Speak for the past few years.
