Poet and musician, Tige Ashton DeCoster is a native of Seattle and received his BA in creative writing from the University of Washington. Tige’s poetry has been published in Crab Creek Review, Malpais Review, Crack The Spine, Fly South, Calliope, and others. His poems, emphasizing sound, structure, and imagery, explore intersections of violence, surrealism, and humor. He has been a touring and recording musician for twenty years, recipient of a 2009 Fulbright scholarship, and the 2016 Joan Grayston Poetry Prize.
