Erika Michael is an art historian, painter, and poet who was born in Vienna and emigrated to New York at an early age. She has lived in the Seattle area since 1966.
With a doctorate in Art History from the University of Washington, she has taught at Trinity University in San Antonio, Oregon State University, and The University of Puget Sound. As an exhibitions curator, Erika has assembled numerous interpretive shows around the Pacific Northwest.
Erika has been writing poetry for many years. She reads her work at various venues in the Northwest and beyond. Her poems have appeared in Poetica Magazine, in Cascade: Journal of the Washington Poets Association, in Drash: Northwest Mosaic, and in Mizmor l’David Anthology.
