He’s been a featured poet at bookstores, art galleries and coffee shops throughout the Northwest.

He was a 2006 Jack Straw writer; co-founder of the original Burning Word Festival; the 2008 Words’ Worth curator for the Seattle City Council. He’s a Board member at Richard Hugo House and coconspirator with the Band of Poets.

Here is what John has been planning for this performance:

PunkPoemsCoverPunk Poems, my first book, was published 10 years ago by Ravenna Press,  Thanks to publisher/editor Kathryn Rantala for her continued support and encouragement.
To celebrate, I’ll have the 10th Anniversary Reading of Punk Poems at Easy Speak at the Wedgwood Ale House. I’m putting together a reading of punk poems from my first book, a few that were included in Graffito, and new unpublished ones.
