Three Open Mikes and Re/Write

Easy Speak Seattle hosts three open microphone events each month, on first, second, and fourth Mondays.  A critique group meets on third Mondays.  (On fifth Mondays, when they occur, the curators of Easy Speak said, “Let there be rest.”)

First Mondays are in the south end, in the Rainier Beach neighborhood, in a wonderful little watering hole called Jude’s Old Town.  Jude’s is normally closed on Mondays, but the establishment opens just for our open mike.  Here is the link to details: Easy Speak Rainier Beach

Second and Fourth Mondays are in the north end, in the Wedgwood neighborhood.  There we gather in the Wedgwood Ale House & Cafe, an establishment with a history of neighborhood and community involvement.  Here again, Easy Speak has facilities dedicated to our gathering.  The Wedgwood Ale House has kindly reserved their pool room at the back for our sole use.  Here is the link to further details:  Easy Speak Wedgwood

Third Mondays see a return to the south end.  Easy Speak hosts a critique group that meets in the Seward Park Third Place Books.  Here is a link to a description of the group and other information: Easy Speak Re/Write

While Easy Speak’s primary emphasis is the open mike forum, we do feature one 20-minute time slot each night to showcase either a literary artist or musician.  Here is a link to our calendar of featured performers:  Featured Artists
